Just started Flat after using Jira for 2 years. One thing I really miss is being able, in discussions, to refer to ticket numbers by the 4-digit strings. I used to be able to say, “hey check the comments on VPS-4156,” but so far in Flat, the tickets don’t have numbers autogenerated? Although I can see there are numbers generated as part of the branch name? Is this a config option?
First of all, welcome to Flat!
Topics in Flat do have autogenerated IDs, but they’re not displayed by default because outside of the dev community most teams prefer not to have them. You can turn them on in Settings | Apperance.
And you can refer to a topic in Flat by typing # followed by the ID.
